sn95 cooling system

Hi, I cannot find answers to several problems with sn95 cooling system. Could you guys help?

There is a 3rd opening, in addition to inflow and outflow (shown on the photo attached). What is this opening for? Is there a thermostatic control, or it is additional inflow or outflow? With this in mind, the radiator I have does not radiator cap. I know there is an expansion tank in the system (under pressure). Is there an additional coolant reservoir (not pressurized)? Where is the radiator 3rd opening hooked to? To expansion tank or cooland reservoir? A photo showing coolant hoses would definitely help.

The hose on top would go to the radiator overflow tank. The one below it appears to be a transmission cooler line, which there should be two of.

so there is only one coolant tank, not two?

Well, two if you count the radiator. Otherwise, there's only one overflow, yes.

Is this a Degas system? I only ask because if the year and model of the donor were known, Mr Matt might move this to a more appropriate sub-forum.
