On the way to orlando on Friday, my shifter started to rattle and then make weird noises. At first it sounded like "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh". Now its like a "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" Low and somewhat high pitched. Oh and it only does it if you push on the gas, but as soon as you let off it stops. It does this through all the gears except for 1rst. Is my tranny going? What can I do to fix it?
I wouldnt waste money on rebuilding the stock tranny unless it wont cust much at all (if thats what it needs). I'd much rather spend more on a tranny built for more power. My tranny does the same thing at a high MPH and scares the **** out of me. I'm thinking about getting the new TKO 500 for my car.
