I get home from work, and it's raining cats and dogs literally, only to find that the grassy area where the front tires of my 92 LX rest in my car port had totally sunk. The front tires were literally underwater. I grab my keys, try to fire up the car, and the damn battery is dead. So, ran down to autozone, swam to the front of the car and put the new battery in. Fire it up, and amazingly backed that **** out of the ditch.

Anyhow, my question is, things are real busy around here and I don't really have time to look for an electrical draw right now, maybe in a week or so. If I'm going to leave the car parked for more than an hour (the draw isn't that bad, it's just my paranoia) I unhook the negative side to the battery. Are there any potential problems other than radio settings and **** like that with leaving the battery disconnected?

Thanks fellas,
Justin.

No, it will be fine. I thought you were going to say you left it in nuetral and it rolled into a ditch. I did that once, had a couple of buddies give me a little push

sorry to hear about that Justin. im with Jerry - should be fine. you will lose the clock/presets and learned adaptations from the puter, but no biggie.

good luck with cleaning it up and finding the reason for the battery goin south. you sure got one sweet ride!

What's up HISSIN! Yeah, I've got a few feelings it's either with some weird energy **** with the MARK VIII or my audio setup, I'll get down to fixing it this weekend probably. I drove it all day today, was a little raspy after sitting for 2 weeks, but all the better.

Cheers fellas, and happy holidays!

sounds good. i would not overlook the small stuff - glove box light, dome light, etc. when i got my car, the glove box light was broken and i did not bother to fix it, as i can see it being a nice drain that i would not ever know about.

whip out the DMM and check for shorts - should not take ya long and you should find it.

good luck Justin - glad to see you back in here - seems like it has been awhile.
