So what kind of short shifter do you have and how do you like it?

I want something thats SMOOTH. My stock shifter is cluncky as hell.

On my current car(94), I have a UPR shifter, at times its hard to shift into 1st, and I know it wasnt my tranny cuz, I borrowed my friend's pro5.0, it wasnt doing the same.. I had a Hurst on my 90, it was the bronze colored one, I LOVED it!

I run the triax. got it off ebay, barely used for $75 bucks. Be patient and you can find lots of good deals. Handle is really nice...I have it on the lowest setting...steeda reccomends you install it on the highest setting but I think that's only due to reach issues...I'm 5'10 and don't have any problems with it with my seat all the way back. Shift is smooth and precise.

The pro 5.0 is nice, but I prefer the B&M shifter over it. I've always wanted to try the fidanza piece though...and I don't know if anyone is using it here

i have the b&m ripper shifter

they call it the ripper because after you've had it for about two years it makes you want to rip your hair out. total pain in the arse. i am getting a hurst shifter handle kit soon with a long chrome handle and white shift knob, so i'll upgrade to a better shifter then, probably a steeda triax or maybe a mgw. depends on what i can get a good deal on. after using the b&m ripper for a few years, i would go back to my stock one if i still had it.

i have the stock T56 shifter with a upr trick stick shifter handle--very adjustable.

i will not get another shifter as most shifters are just too damn notchy for my tastes.
