I've been putting off an introductory thread
I sold the GTI the same week my daughter was born (week of 10/19) to a kid that drove down to get it and I found the Mach a few days later. Had my father check it out for me since he lives in the same city that the car was and I drove up to buy it the next day.
I'm pretty happy w/the deal -- got it for almost $2k under blue book and it came with a few mods, namely:
- Mac prochamber + Mac catback, Mac differential cover
- sub frame connectors, upper/lower control arms
- MGW shifter
- Steed clutch adjustment
- CAI, shaker spacer
My buddy James (xXFaceyourfear on here) had an extra pair of sportlines for the front so we threw those in this past Saturday and it looks a lot better -- not so 4x4 now.
Overall, it's in great, near perfect shape inside and out. Mechanically, the rear-end will definitely need to be rebuilt. There are shavings in the diff oil and the gears whine like my newborn daughter
Plans are finish up the drop until I get a full k-member/coilover/tubular a-arm swap, 03 Cobra side skirts, 99/01 Cobra front bumper, 18x9/18x10 deep dish FR500's, and a shot of n2o until I can do a power-adder of some sort (shooting for a turbo!!)
