Sold the 351 vert

Well Sunday at church one of the older guys asks if I wanted to sell the car. I thought he was kidding until he called me that night. Well last night he came by and drove for a little and said he would give me 5k for it. So we are going to day to transfer the title. I hate to see it go, but this money will be a good starting point for the other vert that is in bad shape. It has basically sat for two years at my friend’s dad’s house. I will post pics of the beat up vert.

Ok here are some pics of the project car. Keep in mind this thing has sat for over two years. He was going to make it carbed but lost interest. I picked it up for $500. That was with the carb and the ignition. He said he had the AOD redone, but I doubt it is worth a crap. This was the car that got me into fox mustangs so it’s kind of got some sentimental value. As far as the engine goes, I got two choices. I can overhaul the 302 and put a blower on it, or I can put the Jasper 460 in it. The 460 is rated at 650hp. So I don’t know right now. Give me your thoughts.

I have been thinking about the 460. But I don’t think it will fit in a vert.

I think a 460'd vert would be badass but a cage would be a must for all that damn torque!

Yea I will need a cage. I got a friend that said he would put one in for me. I am going to have to get an 8.8 too. The 7.5 will blow up under that load.

lol I would love to but the track makes us keep it up. I am still thinking on putting a blower on the 5.0. Something about a the way they stick out of the hood just looks cool.
