Someone finally made them 4lug to 5 lug adapters for the fox.

Ok, I havent ben looking at parts for awhile so It was new to me.

Do you know if anyone here has tried them out?

I can see advantages and disadvantages.

Advantage is for the winter you could swap back to the 4 lug ponys and summer run a nice 5 lug.

Most people swap to 5 lug for the extra strength not just looks. That kit does nothing im my opinion. Since it's still actually a 4 lug its still weak. And for the price, if you add about a hundred bucks you can convert to 5 lug the right way.

just swap to 5 lug, you can always find a cheap set of winter tires on some v6 mustang 5 lug wheels for like 100 bukcs.

Blue oval sells a 5 lug swap for reasonable price.

I wasnt thinking of using this I just found it intresting.

you can do a 5 lug convertion on a mustang for 179$!!! WOW where do you buy your parts? :rlaugh:

junkyard..

brand new mark 7 rotors. ( i can get them for $36 a piece from a buddy who works at AAA )
rear ranger axles and drums from junkyard $35
gear oil $11
2001 GT ponys $100

i have everything i need to do a 5 lug swap..im just waiting till after its painted :D

ive spent $183 so far so it can be done oh and the gt pony wheels came with new tires :) got them from a buddy as well...just got to wait around for the deals!

Just bear in mind when you do this that the Mark VII rotor hub will not fit some wheels. Sometimes you can get away with banging in the spindle bearing cap for clearance, but even then, some wheels still won't fit on 'em. I wish someone would post up a definitive what-will-and-what-will-not-fit sticky when it comes to Mark VII rotors on a 5-lug Fox conversion...

I wouldn't trust my life with these things either. Granted as far as "spacers" go they are better than the ones that are merely a ring that sit on the hub as they actually bolt in place, but to convert the lug pattern, no thanks.

If your doing 5 lug set ups for $175 your getting good deals. I personally spent a lot more than that for mine, but also did rear discs, SN95 stuff etc... My pick and pull wanted $75 EACH for ranger axles and only had one when I was shopping. Had to drop $90 on Ebay for them. I got the front stuff all together for about $200-250 but you need to get small misc parts for the brake lines. Then factor in the Master Cyl and Booster for the rear discs etc.. You can do the Ranger drum/Mark VII rotor set up, but I see no point other than asthetics.

Ranger axles, new 5-lug front rotors = teh cheap. Heck, I got my Cobra axles for $50, full rear disc setup for $75, and you can get front setups from a V6 quite cheap as well. I think BlownFox5Oh is selling his front setup for around $100 right now. So what if they're used? Would you rather have used diamonds or brand new cubic zirconia?

When I did my 5-lug swap, I ran into a problem and couldn't resolve it any quicker except than to overnight a pair of those stupid things. I did that JUST so I could make it to FFW in New Jersey a day or so later, as otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go. Anyway, the whole ride down and back I was scared off my ass that something was going to happen. Another thing is that they were so thick, every time I hit a bump the tires would rub on the bottom of the fender near the outside.

Besides, even if you did that you'd still have ****ty brakes.

Well, I did my 5 lug swap for free, but that is because I work at a salvage yard my Dad owns.

94-95 spindles/hubs FREE
01 GT calipers/brakets/pads/lines FREE
Ranger Axles FREE
Ranger Drums FREE

Oh wait....I spent 1.37 for a reducer union for the passenger brake line.

But if you didn't have the liberty of free parts, then all this stuff will only cost you under 200 dollars.
