spark plug gap w/ sc

i went for a dyno run and we gapped them to .040 it ran fine for a while, and then it started cutting out at around 5k so we gapped them to .038 and it still does it, someone told me that with their vortech they have them gapped to .028 but they also have an 01, i dunno if it differs from car to car, and different supercharger to supercharger, i have the paxton novi 1000, just wanted to know what u guys think about the gapping situation. Should run best at .035 on a blower engine...also depends on boost. The less boost, the higher the gap. N/A we run .055.

yea im only running 6psi, so i should bring it down to .035??

bring the gap down and if that doesn't work you may need an ignition to prevent spark blowout.
