spark plug wires, what are we using these days?

More than likely it’s fine. If you’re really concerned you can do a resistance test on that wire and make sure it’s within spec.
moving the sleeve back a little seems to be making things much better and im getting better at this i think. the last few i made checked out to be about 50-52 ohm per foot. the first or second one i made is reading about 2000 per foot. obv something wrong. i ruined one of the terminals earlier, so i will have to order at least one more. will probably get 3-4 more and re-do the 2000 ohm one.

i cant believe i cant find these terminals on amazon in packs less than 100. (the MSD 34605)
i can find packs of 1, 4, 8, 10 on ebay though.

This is the quickest way to get a couple of terminals I’ve found. It does suck they don’t sell them in sensible quantities. 2, 50, 100 LOL.

If you’re getting drastic differences in readings, something probably went awry. The core is VERY delicate and you must be careful to cut it cleanly, and not gouge it when crimping. You’ll get the hang of it. The first set you make it the worst, but you’ll never buy another set of pre made wires again.

those are the ones I got from amazon, same price basically. sucks that I don't even need the boots, I just need the terminals. oh well.

so, wires are all done.
i wasted like 6 of the 180 degree terminals. that was unfortunate, but i think i am good at it now.
the 90 degree terminals are soooo much easier. i wasted none of them.

i wasted about 4 ft of wire.
single crimp terminals would be super easy.

i think i may have to redo one of the wires because when i checked resistance it would jump around if i moved the wire, seems maybe the conductor may be damaged somewhere.

i measured the lengths/resistance of the new wires and old wires for fun. yes, my coil wire was way too long.
