Ok, so my maganflow catted X has taken a dump. Should i cut the cats out and replace with some straight pipe or gut the cats?
I see on E-bay i can get 5ft of stainless pipe for $50(which i think is a pretty penny). Or should i just look around town eh? Also, if i go with the straight pipes would i be able to sell the one good cat for something(to weigh the cost issue)?
If i gut the cats, that still has me cutting then rewelding them back on, what about the 1/4" or so i lose by cutting(lack of welding knowledge)?
Next would be the sound issue. Is there a major difference in gutted cats vs straight through? I don't really think there is but you never know so I ask.
