I know, but then factor in an old man behind the wheel of a C6 and there you go

Last week end, I drove down Tamarack and a guy with a Z06 and Florida Plates was playing around with me and when time came(corner of Tamarack/ElCamino Real) the light turned green and he kept up with me until I put it in second gear and full boost and bye, bye Z06..........eh,eh,eh
Maybe I've got lucky, maybe not .......but he ended up 3 car lenghts behind me.....Oh! did I mentionned that my lovely wife was in the passenger seat

As Is Please

Bill;

Make sure you spell it out AS IS and no Warranty and as far as the bill of sale is concern, make sure you put the amount he paid just in case he wants to get back at you for any reasons.

Good luck with the sale

Funny I was thinking the same thing, when I made a thread about the Poker run on Sunday! Bada Boom!

Sarcasm aside. Congrats on selling your vert Bill, but remember the deal is not done until you have the cash in hand. Just be careful is my meaning, alot of people can get real flaky when it comes to stuff like this.

So this guy wants to do the deal without every flying out and meeting you?

I take it, you have the title in your posession free and clear?

The only way you should "be cool" and do the second Bill of Sale, is if he has a cashiers check free and clear. If he is going through a bank, then I wouldnt mess with it. I was in the same circumstance, when I sold my GT. And it couldnt be done, since we had to get a form at the DMV and take it to the bank (just my experience with it)

Yes he will have to pay sales tax. That is just the way it goes. Once he goes to register the vehicle in the state he lives in, he will have to pay. But that is not your problem and shouldnt get in the way of talking and agreeing on a price.

So the deal is going to be something like, he will wire you the money, or get you a cashiers check, and you will drop the Mustang off at a automotive shipping pick up point? If you or he needs a couple of links, I have a couple complete with customers reviews of auto shippers. If you remember me saying I was dead set on flying to Long Island to secure a Sonic Blue 03 Cobra Coupe, but it got sold out from underneath me.

Let me know if you have any questions Bill /end novel

Nice story, Pierre!
However, I'm talking about the new C6 Z06 (427ci, 500hp), not the old C5 based models. They aren't out yet, but should be soon.

Let's face it, there's lots of fast cars around these days. Kind of like the late 60's (for us older guys). It just depends on what you like to go fast in.

Yeah, it is Bad A$$!
You know I'm just messing with you John. I like all fast cars, even those funny "I"talian jobs.
I could just never afford most of them and I'm trying to be practical by having a Hot Rod I can throw a wet dog or board in the back of.
I'm hoping to get into my 03,04 L for around 25-27K.
and with about a grand worth of mods I should be up to around 500hp.

Yeah, I know. I'm just messing with you too. That's why I bought a used C5. We all try to keep our vices/hobbies within manageable parameters, right? In my younger days I'd mortgage my soul for a cool car. Now there are other considerations too. I'll look forward to seeing your L.

My color choices go in order of:
1. Blue
2. Dark Grey
3. Black
4. Silver
Don't really care for red or white.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to get raped and buy it from a dealer.
It's real tough to get a loan otherwise.
My CU will give me a great interest rate but I have to buy it from a franchised dealer.
I may end up trading in our Exploder at the same time. I'm having a real hard time selling that thing. It's like they are for sale on every street corner. It IS the last year of the 5.0 but with todays gas prices, that is more of a negative then anything

No worries, hopefully you will have your new L in not too long and we can have a beach bash, and maybe a little trip to to Barona later this summer
