StangNet's 1986 GT Project

Progress Thread Stangnet's 1986 Gt Project

I must say thats a good lookin FOX body resto if I may say so myself. heh.
I miss the car, I just have too many projects and it was just going to sit there and felt it needed to be out there.

Im throwing the 5.0l I took out of my Built to Cruise Project and putting it in my F100 as the i6 240 compression is just gone.
Then it's on to the Bronco.

Pushed out the oem lower intake gasket from the vortech. Had every intention of just replacing it.

Got in and most of the wire loom crumbled apart. Wasnt terribly impressed with condition of factory paint in engine bay. Redid all of it and a little wire tuck.

Thennn found a tubular gt40 and re-powdercoated it. 70mm TB, msd btm, Motion Raceworks valve cover vents and catch can, 8 rib pulleys, rebuilt injectors, and 130A alternator.

I had a set of cobra disc brakes on my other car that has turned more into a drag n drive project so I stole them. While i was in the rear end converting to 5 lug it got 31 spline axles, new trac-lok, and 3.55 gears.

Added the Maximum Motorsports road and track box, 18x9/10 saleen reps (will get different wheels later), and a new Maker's Garage splitter.
