I recently bought a Apline 9883 unit for my 91 lx I hooked it up but Im not getting power to the speakers. The wireing kit was supposed to bypass the factory amp which is hidden in the front console. Does anybody know how to fix this problem ?

Make sure the internal amp inside the Alpine head unit is turned on to provide power to the speakers. Alpine allows you to enable/disable this feature because most people with Alpine's run external amplifiers. I have no clue where the setting is, check your manual.
I found that setting its called the Power IC. I turned it on and got a quick crackle from all the speakers but nothing after that.
