Stock 15 inchers: Make em' wider?

Long long ago (in a galaxy far far away) I saw in a magazine an outfit that could modify a host of dimensions on a set of rims if sent them in. One of the mods included cutting up the rims, adding material to make them wider and then balancing them. Has anyone else ever heard of this? If so... you got any names or contact numbers where I could get this done?

True, they can cut the wheel and weld in a piece to widen them. I can't recall who does it. Have you tried a google search?

The problem is that they only advertise steel wheel widening.

I saw that too, maybe alum. wheels can't be done. They might know who can do it if it can be done.
