I know what your thinking, but this is a little different. A coworker got a mint 94 Cobra with I think 23K on the clock, wants to mod but not butcher it even the slightest bit. He does not intend to run it at the track either.

Someone tried to tell him to do a MAF, but the Cobra has a 70mm unit, correct, 65mm TB, correct. He put a K&N in it because it needed an air filter, I don't even think he removed the silencer. What are some things he can do to add punch under the pedal without effecting drivablility or the value of the car. I was thinking port the heads and intake, custom cam, full exaust... but that's just me.

A MAF is useless at this point. He wants more power? Tell him to start with exhaust. A mid-pipe is the most restrictive part. Then gears are a must. Those are personal preference, but most 5.0 guys like 3.73's for a stick. If he wants handling, subframe connectors and lowering springs.

The '94 Cobra has a 70mm MAF with a 60mm TB not 65. If he wants to keep everything stock appearing but wants some bang, then get some 3.73 gears, bump up the timing, remove the silencer, and port the heads and lower intake. Everything will look and sound stock, but it'll have more pep.
