I don't know how what kind of answers I'm gonna get with this, but I really want to know this stuff. Here goes:

catback
midpipe
headers
throttle body
intake
heads

If you know.... Let me know.

hp is sort of irrelivant for most of those parts. its the heads and the block that have a limit. you could IN THEORY build a 500hp motor and run stock exhaust but it would kill performance. most people swap out the exhaust and intake long before they begin making any real hp

what you have listed is basically all the major parts of the engine. you cant really make much power without swaping all/most of those parts out unless you run forced induction or n2o

:Stupid: thats what im thinking...there is no limit on those other parts they just restrict it...you could have a 500rwhp car with the stock exhaust ..then swap it to a better flowing one and gain a lot of power...it would be stupid and inefficient but can be done...but why?

you could bolt on a turbo and not change anything and get 400 hp! but with bigger/better intake/heads I think you would gain more hp than anything else.

limits= bottleneck........or Disaster coming apart situation. IF your talking bottleneck thats one thing but if your talking destruction thats something totally different.

are you saying like if you put all the best parts on and left just a stock throttle body whats the most power you can make? Do you mean like that but for each part you listed

OK, I didn't word the initial question right? I need to know at what horsepower level am I taxing the efficiency of the part, or even better, at what horsepower level I need to upgrade them. I know the answers will vary from person to person.

Ex. Most people say to swap from a 2 1/2 to a 3 inch exhuast somewhere near 500 hp.

If you could put the list in order from most restrictive to least restrictive this would be good, too.

Well, I'm not really wondering which order to do my mods in. As soon as I get my dirtbike sold, after Christmas, b/c that's when it's getting a new ring/piston, i'm buying a vortech. :D

I'm gonna start the question over. What's is the largest restriction on hp out of all of those parts?

no he means like at what hp level does the stock part become restricting...well heads are restricting stock swap them and get a big gain..and the catback with cats is restrictive stock so get a new o/r H and you will get a little power too..not too sure about the others

well crap! all of em are restrictive if your trying to get more power out of em. They are all designed to work together.......and make a certain hp. IF you change any or all of those parts it will help to an extent. Depends on what you change first, Which is the biggest bottle neck.........I'd say the exhaust!

^ you would say the exhaust is more aof a bottleneck than the heads..!? Or you werent counting the heads?

^ I would say heads no question...you can gain 80+ rwhp with just some decent heads alone! Even doing a full exhaust your not gonna gain much power:rolleyes: intaje you can get decent power maybe 25rwhp  but heads will make the biggest difference :nice:

the heads and stock cam kill air flow. heads are the worst though

no way in hell the stock cam sucks, theres people with 500+HP with the stock cam, its a great piece.

The heads are adequate for a stock motor, but with intake and TB etc you will start outflowing the stock e7s

i also hear that the stock lower is pretty restrictive....
