I was wondering if anyone who owns a 96-98 Cobra has put street slicks on their cars? Because the car will spin the tires up to about 45mph, traction is obviously the missing link. Please share with me your set-ups, if possible i would like to have the best tire to fit on the stock 17'' rim?

If you are talking about drag radials, here are the three brands that I know of BF Goodrich G-force Drag radials (which I run), Mickey Thompsons (dont know the name), and Nitto (I think they are 555r's). I hear that the Nitto's last the longest (about 10k). All of these will really improve traction on dry pavement, especially on the street. Also my set-up is in my sig.

also on the stock rims I would not go larger than the 245/45/17

I believe the Mickey's are called "ET Streets". I saw a bunch of people running them at the track two weeks ago. They said they hook pretty good. I can tell you that the expensive Eagle F1 GS-D3's I have in 285's don't hook worth crapt! They are however great in the corners which is really why I bought them.
