Strype, keep the A/C in there. Its gonna be a street toy right? Keep the extra 28lbs and be able to enjoy the car on hot days too :nice:
Or if its raining out and your in the car you will want it then too. Hell you stopped smoking so there is really no reason to roll the windows down anyway

Keep the A/C ...... actually you should get ahold of DocG. He wants the stuff to put one back in his black Fox. Mabey you two can work something out

Thanks Laser.

Yup, after driving it a couple times in only 80 degree weather, I had enough. With dumps and no sound deadening material, that heat and stank builds up quick inside that car! Even with the sunroof off.

Sooooo Strype, if yours was functioning and you're interested in a sale PM me and we can discuss. Not sure if the wifey will let me spend any more money right now, but I am seriously considering putting the AC back into my car. As much as I hate to add the weight, I think the loss on the strip and track will be worth the comfy driving it in the summers.

I am soooo keeping it. I'm gonna hook it all back up one day. I have everything that was original on this car except the hood. I may even put the ponies back on one day :)

Don't blame you. Wish they would have saved mine. Don't really have the "approval" to spend the 700 bucks for a new setup. Figured it was worth trying to grab yours if you were going to sell.

Guess I'll just have to sweat to death! :nice:

BTW....when I had the upper end tore down on mine, I found it way easier to wipe the firewall and a bunch of the little stuff to clean it up. Anytime I've torn something down, I'm always in a hurry to get it back together. But I've been trying to exercise patience and clean and paint while I'm at it.

For example, last week I had the fan and water pump off. While I did, I took the time to spray the pulley's and clean the fan blades and repaint the shroud. All those little things add up to a way cleaner look while not taking long to do it when the parts are already off.

When I first got mine I figured it would see more strip and auto-x action than anything. But repairs, money, and time have shown me that if I actually want to enjoy the car its going to see more road action than race action. Thus my willingness to add the AC back on it.

If I ever really get into auto racing or something, then I'll take it back off.

But considering we're still trying for a baby, that's probably NOT going to happen :D
