Your best bet is to keep the warranty and give me the girlfriend! I never had a woman offer me a supercharger. Is she pretty? Aw who cares anyway, I just wanna be blown.

Other than that, I would suggest you talk to the dealer about a Roush supercharger. They might insist on installing it but at least you should be able to keep the warranty that way.

BTW, If my wife sees this.....it was nice knowing you all.

I remember reading that even dealor installed SC void the powertrain warranty. I think it was on the Shelby GT500 sticker. I guess they think that you don't need the warranty if you got the bucks to blow!

Warranty coverage really comes down to what the dealership is willing to do for you. This is why it is so important to shop around for the right dealership. My last two trucks both had the same motor in them, the first one was from my local dealer and he wanted to void my warranty for a K&N cold air kit. I bought the next one from another dealer out of town and he didn't care what I did, I had cams, exhaust, colder plugs, thermostat, and a throttle body and the only comment he ever had was "I don't see a thing"

A KB would likely void your warranty. Ford does sell a 400hp supercharger that is warrantied. It maintains your full warranty for 3/36 if you get it installed at delivery. 1 year/12k otherwise. You may be able to convince them to give you the full warranty if you still only have delivery miles or only a few more.

Damn I live in california, Ya I love the grlfriend, X-mas shes getting a ring.......but on the SC note ... I dont have the money to void my warranty but I dont want to wait till it runs out just to get the pleasure of boost !!! I asked my local ford of they could and they said it has to be a roush setup and I would have had to get it and that time of deilvery....DAMN THEM.... so I guess to keep shopping around... Im brand new to the warranty thing, never had one before, can you just take the car anywere as long as its ford ..???

From what I understand if you buy a roushcharger, Roush actually picks up the powertrain warranty. If something breaks, they pay the dealership to fix it. They only require you to have it installed by a Ford certified mechanic.

I've looked into one myself but they are expensive for the HP they produce.

Well they partially lied to you. Check out ford's racing site (fordracingparts.com). They have a FRPP (not roush) supercharger that will still get you 1/12k warranty if installed by ford, and its full 3/36 if installed at delivery. Also, Ford does not offer a warranty on the Roush s/c, but perhaps that one dealer does. Try asking another dealership. Also, most s/c makers will warranty SOME stuff for a period of time, but that gets kinda sticky trying to wade through all that if the situation comes up.

Roush covers the 3/36 warranty themselves, but only if you remain with the stock pulley, and Roush flashed tune.

With a warranty? With warranty work? With a bullet to the head...that really would solve the issure!
