Mach 1 deal fell through.
I owe $13,500 which is the problem, so if i go and do this I'm keepin this thing for a longggggg time, so I wanna do it right.
I have a couple questions on engine rebuild with forged internals. I see them on ebay for like $1500. Is it worth the time and labor ($) to have the motor rebuilt with forged stuff or just get a complete engine. Supercharging is something I've always wanted to do. D1SC procharger with 3 core 4300.00+ all the upgrades, 42 lb. inj., fuel pump.. another grand or so. Any others you guys recommend, maybe cheaper ways to go (not nitrous). I mean I can ask tomorrow about getting approved for say $28500 loan to pay off the current lien then go nuts with mods for my car and pay as if i'm payin for a new car. i mean my car isn't worth ***** and neither will a new Mach 1 by the time I'm half done paying for it.
What other components are a must for s/c, engine rebuild???
Tremec TKO 600, I see a lot of on Ebay. Looks sick, can handle 600lb ft. I'd like to be mid-low 11's on streets and be streetable. No worries about breaking anything and can handle sometimes hard driver. The T56's are only $1250 but I dunno how much more money is involved in the swap. Do I need a different fly wheel and clutch, modified d/s, any thing else?
i'd have to consider suspension as well though, at a minimum i'd think control arms and lowering springs...
I'm not sure if $15,000 will cut all the parts + labor. any one drop a lot of money on their car at once? Any ideas how much this would all cost?
I'm gonna buy a 94 jeep cherokee for 2500 to have in the mean time of the car getting whatever done. So i have definitly decided to keep my car, just deciding whether to do this loan right now and get the car ready for summer or wait till the engine goes.
lemme know any ideas
sorry for the essay
