Hello all,

I was looking into buying these to put onto my (mostly) stock 302. I ma not planning on racing this car, just ziping around neighborhood. I had a few questions:
Can I use the rocker arms off the stock E7 heads?
Do I really need hardened push rods?
I assume the stock cam will work?
Will they fit BBK headers?
I assume a GT40 (internal EGR) upper and lower intake will fit these?

Still a total novice with cars, sorry if some of the questions are obvious

Thanks in advance!

Ok, I did the reading for you, no you cannot use the rocker arms from your E7, yes those headers will fit, it says to use hardened push rods, yes the gt40 or explorer intakes fits.

Stock rockers are pedestal mount, but those heads use stud mount rockers so you will need to buy some.

Should be able to use it with any of the mustang exhaust header offerings.

I believe you need hardened pushrods to prevent wear from the rod guide plates.

You'll also need head bolt reducer bushings

Thanks all. I did read a little bit and saw that they do say hardened push rods, I was wondering if they are a must given that I dont race it.

Thanks again

Has nothing to do with racing. It's the guide plates added to the heads that dictate their necessity. Without them, the pushrod will slowly "shave" itself over time as it makes contact with the guide plate and all that metal will find it's way into your oil.

Gotcha, I was trying to understand exactly why I had to get hardened push rods and you nailed the answer, thanks.
