Ahhh, but most of that handling stuff is already standard equipment on the SVO, so you're really not much further ahead changing it out again. And the GT that just got it's nut's handed to it by the "tweeked" SVO can easlity take them right back again with a few "tweeks" of it own.

My buddies car made 308RWHP and ran low/mid-13's at the track. Not too shabby for the little I-4, but not overly impressive by 5.0L standards. For all the dicking around and custom fabbing he did he could have easily done the same thing with even the most modest 5.0L bolt ons....and for less money and a lot less headaches too.

I rank SVO's in the same category as Grand Nationals now. Not from a performance aspect obviously, but from a rarity standpoint. IMO it just doesn't make sense to own one for any other reason than collect ability, or nostalgic value. Nice ones are getting harder and harder to find, their rising cost of hard to find parts and 20-year-old technology don't make them really reliable or great daily drivers and buying and beating on one to push it past it's original limits not only kills it's collector value but the results could have been easily duplicated for far less money using one of the half dozen other less rare cars that share the same chassis.
