* Be aware this is not a Mustang. It's a '89 H.O. and T5 swapped into a '63 Falcon.

Found this behind the engine! It does NOT match the 89 ho block though! Matches a 92? And a World Class at that! I am pretty sure all I have learned points to this being a 92 Tremec World Class. Do you agree?
I need a verification from someone who knows, I am considering tearing it apart myself and going through it, not because it's bad but because it's out.
The tail housing number is 13-52-0660-939 (this number was not made until '92?)
Here is the tag from the case and written here for clarification.

(upside down triangle starts this line) E9ZR 7003-A
13-52--204 12482 K1923

The numbers on the case agree with an 1989 Mustang GT Manual. Dates stamped in the case, the round date stamps, have 92 in the middle.
E9ZR refers to a '89 GT manual and is repeated on the tag. This is confusing. The number on the tail housing wasn't made until 92!
It totally looks like a World Class and I will treat it as such till told otherwise by someone in the know. I don't think I can post an outside image of one so duck duck go is your friend if you wanna take a look at one just click HERE.
More pics of mine can be seen in my build thread HERE.

I usually don't care about the casing numbers on the main case, tail shaft or cover as many are interchangeable. For me the main number is the trans tag. On yours it shows 13-52-204

There are a couple websites that have pretty good lists of the tag numbers:

They list that trans as an 85-89 Service (I would interpret that to mean replacement spare part) version of a 5.0 WC.

I once pulled a 13-52-238 (94-98 V6) T5 that had a cover from a 2010+ version (smooth dome style). When I opened up it looked like someone had been inside and overhauled some things, so I took it as a good sign.

Most of the time shops will replace the entire tail housing when the rear bushing is bad so go with the ID tag on the case.

There are two numbers other than the tag that can help ID what it’s out of.

On pass side of the case, there is usually a number in a circle. This is the date the case was cast. In this case it’s a 90 for 1990. The number of dots surrounding it signify the month.

The tailhousing and top cover and input shaft retainer should have similar casting codes, so it will help determine if the trans is a frankenTranny

Also, a partial vin is stamped on the side here as well if the trans came in a vehicle originally and wasn’t purchased from BW/tremec

excuse my ignorance, is World Class just a name / designator for a better version of the T5?
why is it called that?

Different (better) bearings and 3-piece synchros for 1-4 gear instead of 1-piece brass.

All 85.5-2010 T-5 that came in the Mustang were world class, no matter if out of a 2.3, v6 or v8.

Non-WC is really only going to apply to a handful of 83-85 transmissions.

Date on the tag indicates the transmission was built in calendar year 1992, for a 1993 model year Mustang.

K1923 = built October 19, 1992, on 3rd shift

If the main case had a partial VIN on it, it should start with PF1.

Well thats kinda what I was wondering is if in order to fit the driveshaft or whatever, they changed the tail housing. I don't know Fords as well but know thats a thing in GM's. Thanks
