Terminator seized : Cop Car Now

Can you imagine you blood, sweet, and tears, making your terminator/cobra into really quick street machine since its one of the toughest rides on the road today, only to be seized and drove by a police officer.The car looks extremely well maintained, it doesn't look like its raced often.

In my opinion, I think they should of took the 19 year old kid license away for a few years, then taking his car, its almost like having a kid of your own to be adopted by another family in a sense. The father tried to buy it back, but the local authorities wouldn't let him get it back. I know one thing, that kid will never like cops ever again, probably scared for life. There are some really awesome cops out there, but still, taking his ride is really harsh. I rather see it auctioned off/high premiums on insurance, or be boughten back. thats life......

Thanks for posting the pics, I was reading about this earlier but when I went to the TV website to view the report my computer wont load it for some damn reason But yeah that really sucks. They said after they took off the "illegal" modifications the car still has 550 hp. Kinda doubt that seeing the stock blower with a pully that size. Mabey 550 at the crank cause thats only 470-480 rwhp and I could see that.

gotta love when you guys blame cops. dude had it taken away for good reason. could have killed someone. speaking from a family who has seen that tragedy I am glad it got taken away. oh and it wasnt "a cop" who took it away as much as a judge and the legal system. blame them if anyone. If I were a cop I would love to be assigned that car. best sleeping cop car there is.

damn that was in my town. i guess if i see any blue cobras wanting to race me ill know its probably this cop trying to get me in trouble. most guys around here street race because the nearest drag strip is like a hour away. they have been crushing cars lately. what exactly did this kid do? (if he was weaving on a busy highway then he deserved it)

serves the kid and his dad right, IMHO. Who woulda guessed a 19 y.o. kid would get in trouble with a car like that?

IMHO, idiots get mad at cops for things like this. Smart people realize they did it to themselves, and if they don't want it to happen again, they should change their behavior.

Well I’m 20 with a 9 second car, what does age have to do with anything, I’m not an idiot for questioning this absolute authority from socialist pigs. Just smart I understand the kid was being stupid most likely. I thought you lose your license for a period of time; my friend lost his for a year for street racing. How can they just take your car, I would say the car was seized from a drug dealer.

Age really doesnt have anything to do with it, its more of a maturity level! Second, my friend got busted for doing 100 over. He went to jail for a couple of days, and paid an assload of fines...but the car was not taken from him. This car must have belonged to a drug dealer or something along those lines.

i hate to say it but if i ever get caught doing 120+ and i dont think they have my plate they will have to catch me! if they're gonna take your car anyways you may as well try to get away and save your car. i do not speed badly in traffic. i only drive fast if i am the ONLY car on the road. at least if i'm the only one out i cant hurt anyone else by doubling the speed limit

a cop does not deserve to drive that car for work. plus you know he has to be the biggest prick on the force to keep it as his duty car. if he doesnt generate the revenue, he loses his sweet ride....powertrippers dream there.

It's all hearsay.

1) I do know that more and more states are pushing to confescate cars caught in illegal street racing.

2)You have to remember while the internet is cool for learning stuff, watching roll races etc., police use it for training.

Why have a fast car? There's no where to legally use it.

Race tracks by me are a joke to get into and actually get any sort of time in. 50 bucks for two runs, yup that stops street racing.

I was watching superbikes one day and i cant remember what law enforcement has it but it may be texas but they seized a hayabusa and made it a cop bike lol. I wouldnt mind getting paid to ride that around all day. forget writing tickets its all about the backroads lol.

That seems rather excessive. Why don't they take away drunk driver's cars? I have a feeling some who know about this would now rather run from a cop than pull over.

Ya very excessive, take my car no way. Im running ya i cant outrun a radio but how you gonna radio my exact location when im going 140 in a few seconds off a 90 degree turn and you are barley getting up to 60 then i turn agian

Ask your self this...You are at a stoplight some punk in a honda lights up the tires when its green a cop sees that arrest you both for racing when you were not even considering it you lose your car. Now a friendless egotistic pig has it now how do you feel.

What will they take next, our guns.

You guys do realize that if, and only IF, this whole story is actually true, it was most likely :

1. Driver arrested for street racing, car impounded. Impounded does not equal forfeited at this point in time.
2. Driver had his fair day in court and had his due process.
3. Driver lost his case and was convicted.
4. Driver most likely didn't have a license since it was revoked or suspended for this very offense.
5. Driver was most likely convicted of this before, if not numerous times.
6. Judge had most likely seen this individual in his/her court before and threw the proverbial book at him.
7. JUDGE, not the police department, ORDERED his car forfeited in the end.
8. Car then handed over to the state, i.e. police department.

And to those of you who think to run rather than pull over, that's the absolute stupidest thing you can do. Not only in the end would you be arrested for racing (or whatever it's called in your state), you would now tack on a plethora of other charges included reckless driving, refusing to stop for police (felony in most states), speeding, and whatever else they can add on.

I agree with the judge/court order of it. It's his discretion based on the trial or his history. My dad's friend was flying down the highway on his liter bike at 155mph and the judge said either he sells his bike, all his leathers, and his helmet or he goes to jail for a month and pays hefty fines. Judges can't make up the trial process, but they can get pretty creative with the punishment
