TFS Top End Kit Owners Come in...

The TFS webpage says that the street kit and the track kit have the same heads, part number TFS-51400004.

Doing more research on their page i found this that list all of the heads that are 50 state street legal. the TFS-51400004 is one of them. Im just really confused now with all the different post that im reading about people saying that the street and track kits heads come with different valve springs, will or will not pass emissions and have different overall specs.

Now im leaning on get the track heat part number TFS-K514-360-350B

Anybody have some clearity?

im getting ready to order the street heat kit next week or so myself. From my understanding the intakes are the only thng different. The track heat would only benefit you if you plan on running boost. If you did go with track heat you would lose low end torque like a mofo. So stick with street heat otherwise

The only difference in the kit, is the upper intakes. thats all. the track heat has I think 12 inch runners and the street heat has 15 inch runners. I run nos so I would go with the track heat setup.

This is correct...The Track heat and R model TFS heads do not have smog provisions on the back of the head....The Track heat and Street heat heads are the same, less the smog provisions...I have the Street version of the kit and I like it very much...

It seems that the confusion comes from the fact that the street heat heads never came with the option of the dual valve springs and 10* locks. Now that they do...there still remains a difference. The first one has already been stated...the lack of emission ports on the track heat heads. This is beneficial when it comes time to porting...as without the emission ports your able to hog more out to make the heads flow better. The other difference seems to be the rocker studs. Both versions of the street heat heads come with 3/8" rocker studs while the track heat comes with the stronger 7/16" studs.

Dead On I have ordered the kits with a R-upper or other additional changes at a small premium as well if you want to swap out any components.

Thanks a lot for the info Millhouse.

If i want to special order a kit with street heat heads but with all the track heat goodies and the track heat intake, would I have to order straight from trick flow?
