Hey Will

I should have made myself more clear and its no big deal.

I'm sure you have seen dyno tests in the mags where they give the tq & hp values at various rpm points of the entire pull.

Again ... no big deal ... I was just asking:)

Bet you found a good bit of giddy up from the tune :D

Glad things worked out well for you :nice:

Grady
I only got on it a couple of times when I got back to the city, nothing major speed wise, I didn't break 60 but I stood on it and it did not hesitate.......I didn't drive it today. too much going on.....but your right, Don found some X-tra horses somewhere ...lol

I'm anxious for the analysis. Accounting for both an Auto AND a Mustang Dyno seems to equal well above 300HP. Am I thinking correctly? We have to add two estimated corrections back to the numbers right? To get an apples for apples comparison to a Dynojet/Manual chart?

You have just about said it all here. If you factor in the loss from the trans and different dyno, you should be closer to a more fair compairson of a t5 Stang Dynojet pull.

You can compare auto combos to auto comos but from what I've seen, the losses are just not all that consistent.

As for the Analysis you are looking for .........

If a dyno chart is posted in such a way that will allow me to determine enough accurate data from it

OR

Better yet, if I have the numerical values of the pull

The data can be loaded in Excell for a little comparo to other pulls.

anyway

You don't need a bunch of extra data to see Will did pretty good!

Picked my car up tonight from the chip install and dyno tune. I wanted to say thanks to Don and his son Rob for taking care of the old girl. If anyone is like me and very particular about who they leave their car with let me assure you that I felt very comfortable and these two guys did all that they said they would and for a very reasonable price. They are located in Deleware Ohio and I had no hesitation on taking mine two hours and leaving it. I will highly recommend them to anyone. I would like to also say that if you are in the market for a custom bike or would like to just check some out....head to Creative Custom Choppers on E. Williams st and you will see some awesome bikes and some good folks. Their bikes match anything that I have seen "on" the road. These fellows are definately "good" ole boys who you can trust and enjoy talking to. Rob took the time to explain the difference in the Mustang vs Dyn.Jet, not that I kept up that well but just the type of person that does not rush you out the door after you have paid. Lasota racing will get my repeat business after anymore mods and references to anyone who wants to pm me with questions.
Thanks again guys.

Very stout numbers! You have to be pleased with that. Seems to me I haven't seen any unhappy customers after they are through.

Someday, we will be posting up titles like "Thanks Grady @ ThrewAwaymyCarbJetsRacing," I can just feel it.

So can anyone answer why the mustang dyno is less? Somewhat of a technical explanation?

Agreed. I am not familiar with the numerical "corrections". I recall reading a particular % loss to the wheels for an AODE. I'm not familiar with Mustang vs Dynojet correction % though. I know you can't get a perfect number this way, but was curious if we are talking about 290HP, or 325HP here? Absolutely sounds like great pull. All we need now are some numbers from the "Norwalk dyno". I think Will would need some sticky tires for that. :D

Then is it your understanding a Mustang Dyno may not necessarily give a smaller HP/TQ reading than a Dynojet? If so, then there goes some more of that Internet Myth. :)

I think it is the other way around :)

As an example:

You could set things up to give a 10% load. If one did that, it would seem to me the final results would be lower ... maybe by 10% ... I don't know

I can say this for sure :D

Over the years I've been looking at dyno results on these boards, the results are usually lower when someone uses a Mustang dyno.

Thanks for all the responses Grady, Adam, Paul , Joe and many others.....I am very pleased with the numbers.....I do remember Don telling me about trying to simulate "real" conditions...if I'm not too crazy. I loved the way the car ran afterwards and I posted the numbers that Don gave me just as a heads up to anyone who cared what the TFS set up got. I let Don and Grady and the rest of the people come in with the diff. in numbers......I did not want to be a number thrower......I see a lot of set ups on here a lot better than mine....
LOL....thanks to everyone who helped me with questions and comments...
