he started her up over the weekend. he started it for me when i called him this morning. it sounds bad ass, but too loud. he has the exhaust put together through the mufflers, but the tail pipes weren't on yet. we are going with 2 1/2" tail pipes. that, plus the bend, should quiet it down a good bit.

the mufflers are flowmaster delta 50s

sorry, no sound clips of it.

thanks.

green: when you get to my age and stage in life, your priorities might be different from what they are now. especially for a car you intend to drive every day.

i'm hoping to get it back next week sometime. he doesn't have much more to do.

I hear you on the loud thing...I put my stock H pipe back on to get it inspected (will get around to that soon) and actually kinda like how its alittle quiter now and thinking about keeping it on.

That or I am going to weld up my o/r H, part of the reason I like the stocker...no exh. smell, to cut ff the big cats but just weld on the shells to pass a visual insp.

In the end I kinda like it not so DAMN loud...I kinda wish there was a mini muffler you could put ont here that didnt choke it up.

Do you have any links to small bullet converters like what you are talking about?

I am planning on seeing what happens with the GTP stuff. Assuming it fails, the guy who built my engine says he can write up a receipt for an exemption.

Another possibility is that, when I talked to the guy at the emissions place, he told me that it was my car and I should build it up the way I want (without being a slave to the emissions rules). He said that if it doesn't pass, we can figure out what to do from there. He said he has a vintage hot rod and understands where I am coming from.

We don't have visual inspections anyways, so at least I son't have to worry about that part of it.
