'doc in the box' This is the scene of the crime. I welded the bottom side of the radiator frame on, but didn’t get it welded completely. Someone had towed it using the radiator frame as the pull point.
This is the sn95 (96 to br exact) steering column bearing plate. This is set up for a hydroboost brake/power steering configuration

Spinning "stuff" is rarely forgiving. No do-over when the gloves are forgotten.
Angle grinders get my utmost care and respect. I've sliced through some damned nice gloves and was damned glad they were there to take the hit.
LOL @ the finger and comment about welding injuries... I just posted a pic in my build thread about damn near burning my car and house down tonight while welding. A 3' tall by 3' long flame in the garage (totally unplanned) gave me the excuse I needed to try out that fire extinguisher I've had laying around for a decade, turns out it works fine.
@bird_dog0347 dog, I heard that, brother. I keep 2 fire extinguishers on my work bench. Of course, I had my leather gloves right on the fender, so having things at hand doesn’t guarantee it’s use
Fire extinguisher, no brainer, now gloves / face shield / goggles you have to think about that. Safety first cause not all turbos come with jackstands!
I'm doing what I always do each morning, reading through the other threads before deciding on either making a comment in mine, or some other one.
One guys melting buckets, and here we have another, wire wheeling off all 7 layers of flesh.
It's almost like I'm reading my own build thread.
There's no point in me preaching to anybody about safety....We all choose to either adopt, or ignore the rules..And I am the poster child for walking the tightrope of stupidity.
Some of us get to tell the funny story about " almost burning the place down", and some of us get to show the battle scars as a result of something else that could a been worse...
And then there's the guy who posts the pic of what's left of the burned out hulk that was his car,...or the guy that gets to live with 4 fingers instead of 5.
All I'll say is be careful guys,....for some of us that set things and selves on fire, run cut off wheels into our un gloved fingers, smack ourselves with hammers, ram fists into strut towers when Chinese sockets break, and have to drive ourselves to the doc in the box holding a bag of frozen peas over our punctured, bleeding right eye,....
Not everybody gets a second chance.

@madmike1157 , good advice. In my case I was "just going to take a minute to clean off the metal". Never got there. It happens really, really fast

I may have the FI Tech sold. Someone is supposed to come by this evening to see how it runs. He’s familiar with FI Tech, so at least I’m that much ahead. I’ll let y’all know tomorrow morning.
Ive got a Holley 600 cfm on order from Holley. I think the car will run a lot better. I talked to Travis and he’ll tune it for free

Depends on what 600 Holley that you're talking about....an R1850, a 4776 or a 80540.
An 1850 is a mega cheap, vacuum secondary old school 600 CFM carb with side hung float bowls. It is basically a street only carb,..and more of a pain in the ass to tune, because of the lack of a secondary set of jets, squirters,, and a accelerator pump...it has an electric choke. It's a stupid carburetor.
A 4776 is old school double pumper...same carb that has been sold since the early 70's...mechanical, cable operated choke, but two of everything....two accel pumps, two squirters, two sets of jets, and two power valves.
Way more tuneable than the previous turd.
An 80540 is a HP carb...no choke. Milled off choke horn instead. Same as above but is a billet carb, instead of cast..way lighter. 4 corner idle adjustment,..idle air bleeds are tune able, discharge nozzles are annular and dropped into the venturies...much better fuel atomization.
Holley owns quick fuel...Holley owns demon carbs. Either way, they were copies of the original. Anything you want in a carburetor can be done with a Holley....I've owned a buttload of them...I think you'll find what you want there.

It controlled everything on the car; the timing, the fan, the ac, I don’t know what else. I can get springs and weights for the distributor and set it up (they tell you to discard the weights if the FITech is controlling timing), but this car never had electric fans (which work superbly). I have two temp sensors, but no way to control them. That’s problem 1. Problem 2 is getting the ac back on line. Not sure what butchers went on behind the dash, but things look grim.
I think most of this is the Viper alarm (which also works superbly). Hmmmmm. It’s upside down. Don’t ask me why. I don’t understand everything I know.
Any suggestions or, better yet, technical guidance.

Glad you didn't loose your finger there. Certain things you think are common sense in safety most of us neglect. However if you talk to any iron worker pipefitter or industrial electrician they will tell you loose fitting gloves with an anglegrinder are a nono. Its skin tight or no gloves at all, a loose glove will cause your entire hand to be sucked into the grinder while its running. Even a small 4" grinder will mangle your 
up. Just thought I'd share we do safety meetings daily.
