But does it have the special uber cool blue interior too?

1990, Yours is the first time I saw a blue interior and went "Yeah, that works just fine"
I know its all stock, mabey its just cause its so clean, but I never liked the blue interior. It just seems to look right in yours. Did they make the high backs in blue?

Yeah that blue interior was real clean too... Something different!

I didn't like blue either. I was 100% against it when i got the car. The more i worked on it, the more i liked the white exterior, and the blue just kept growing on me. My fiance went and shampoo'ed the carpets and it looks mint. Once i'm finished with her, and have a chance to clean it all up, i'll snap some good pictures. I am going to keep the blue. Its the the first car i've seen where the ENTIRE car is blue. like, EVERYTHING is blue..

OH an i have a power driverseat too :D

Yeah thats a LOT of blue, but it was clean, and even smelled like a new fox (everyone knows what thats like Im sure). Car loooks the part, and is a clean example... Im even willing to bet altogether you havent invested that much. Thats the BEST way to build them, congrats on doing it right!

Thankyou very much! :nice:

I just wanted it to be clean, simple, and classy. It will be nice once i finish her all up, get the interior clean, and the small blemishes on the body cleaned up and a fresh coat of white paint. I'm also going to order all new window trim pieces so they are all fresh and new. The redline goods boots for the interior will probably be one of the few dressup items, i want to keep it tasteful on the inside. I was thinking about doing some custom speedhut gauges since i won't have any aftermarket ones most likely UNLESS Speed of Sound comes out with something cool for the fox!! If i can get her to fire up this weekend, that will make me feel like i've made some good progress!

Nice job man, i just saw everything for myself just now. I've done this to two different cars of my own. Peice of cake.

Thanks alot man! Now i just hope that once i get the last small items buttoned up, she fires up!!! :nice:

Don't forget to put gas in it!! After a long project build, you always forget the slightest things.

When I tried to start Hack Job, I cranked and cranked for ever. IT wouldn't start. I'm like OMG, what am I gonna do now!??? I settled down a little and new it couldn't be serious due to using the entire 2001 harness. I go in the trunk, push the fuel shut off switch, and it fired right up....hahaha

:rlaugh:

I don't know how old the gas in the tank is! So that has me a little worried. Also i hope there isn't like anything in the fuel lines - remember i got them from the salvage yard.

When you first fired up hackjob, how did she run?? Also when you did your black notch, did she fire right up? I'm just worried since all the wires are from a 4 banger minus the computer, engine harness, headlight etc. Technically it should start, but im worried about how will it run, will it start, will i have a nasty surge, stuff like that. I guess the anticipitation of finally trying to start her up has me nervous. :(

You'll be alright, just top it off with some new stuff. I've had gas for two years in my gas cans in the garage, and that stuff smells fine. I used it in the lawn mower and line trimmer and they both start right up. Fuel doesn't settle that fast like people say. Even my Cobra sits for 8 months at a time, and I take it right out and beat the piss out of it.

After I pushed in the fuel switch, Hack Job started right up. It ran like chit because I found a vacuum line disconnected, it wouldn't even idle. I hooked that line up, and she idled all day long. It ran good. I just had some smoke in the engine bay from dust and fresh paint burning off the block, headers, valve covers etc. Just keep an eye on everything the first few times you move it around.

My 91 notch started up on the second turn of the key. It cranked for a few seconds, and nothing. Then it fired up and ran good. I think it took a minute to get the fuel through the empty lines and rails. I got the same smoke outta that thing due to fresh paint, and some brake fluid I dripped on the headers.

Justin, you did everything right. It's gonna start. I had the same worries, but forget about 'em. It will go good!
:nice:

Yeah I have had my motor, my brothers, my dads, almost all of them out more than once. You always worry, yet we always end up with running, driving cars. It should fire up and run alright, and if there are little things, you will find them. Sometimes a fresh start on another day is all you need to find something you over looked.

Definately get her running for Etown though, and come show it. My dad and I would love to see it :D.

I hope so fellas. That would make my weekend if she fired up! And Brian don't worry, i hope to have her running in time to take her to fords at Englishtown and i'll show you and pops :nice: Matt i'll probably take a road trip out and visit so i can see Hack Job anyways :nice:

OH I never told you guys.. I don't know if you remember (Brian does) when i got the car, it only had a drivers key, and a bent door key so i couldn't lock the doors or open the trunk. My efforts to make it straight failed, and i ended up snapping the key! :bang:

Well before pops and I were about to install the rear, we were lying under the car trying to figure out WTF to do with the shocks. I was going to leave the old stockers in there until i had the car running cause i couldn't open the hatch. i'd drive to a local locksmith and have them make a new key, then replace the shocks later. Well as we were talking under the car, i looked up past the gas tank way up high on the frame of the car above the tow hitch. I see a little box that said something like "never locked out". I reached up, grabbed the box (it was magnetic and stuck up there). Inside the box was one Ignition key, and one door key. I jumped up, opened the hatch, and did a jig all over the front yard. :nice: Needless to say the shocks are now brandy new in the rear!!!!

The other problem i have is that the Horn is Dead... As soon as i turn the key to the "run" position, it goes on. I at first thought clock spring but wouldn't the horn go off as soon as i hooked up the battery? This leads me to believe that my headlight harness is bad or from the wrong year. I was told the headlight harness was from a 91, and i got the computer/engine harness from your dad who took it out of his 91 so i know that is ok

A bad clock spring would mean that the horn wouldn't work at all. Your problem makes sense. A horn works regardless of whether or not the key is turned on/off so something sounds like it's wired wrong.
