The official 2007 NHL thread...

That was good hockey from both teams. Ottowa just came out flat, which is to be expected after taking 9 days off!!!

They also have not played a team as big as the Ducks, and have not been hit as hard as we do. They are a big team and will come out much stronger in Game 2!

That said: The Ducks played their game. They set the pace and spent a lot of time with the puck. We outshot, Outhit and outscored the Sens... and thats what wins the games.

This will be a good series!

Look for Ottowa to split up the big scorers... we were playing the 5 best shutdown players on that line all night... and it worked.

Once they split them up things are bound to get interesting.

Go Ducks!!!

AWWW Common guys. No one wants to talk Hockey anymore? Ducks are coming home to win it. The Sen's will have to pull off a huge upset to get even one more chance at this series.

We won again without Pronger... Comments?

How about the puck thrown at Neidermier... :notnice: :notnice: :bs: :bs: ? Will there be a suspension...

It has been a great year of hockey and hopefully a very exciting end!

I just haven't been following after the Wings lost it. I wished for the Sen's but it looks like the Ducks are about to steam roll um.

I think Progner has been showing a few flashes of past meltdowns. Both this the strange hit during the Wings series and then with the elbow. [I admit I didn't see any of the footage - just what I read on the second one] Pronger of old would melt down and the team around him didn't have the stuff to fill the gap. Now with the Ducks it is a different story.

I think this year of hockey had too much complaining in it. I'm looking forward to less 'twinkle toes' stuff next year and those stretchy pant uniforms they'll wear.

Stretchy pants FTW!!! The hard hitting gritty hockey should be back next year! I hope it is even better than this season was.

This series has actually been very good hockey. The Ducks have managed to win all 3 games in the Third period.
The sens have been very strong at the beginning of all games, but they haven't been able to finish.

The Ducks are very deep and have a good ballance of age, size and skill. Tomorrow should be very fun, and I expect a Balls out game from the Sens and another Vicious game from Pronger!!! I can't wait!

Let's hope that some of the grit comes back to hockey... It's getting boreing to watch the ref wave his arm when a fart blows in a goal. Another thing I am dying for is a change in the horrible scheduling. It sucks not seeing every team at least once!
