I just finished the door and got it in prime. I am on schedule to have the hatch, doors and fenders mounted on the car for GOOD on saturday. Now, I need some help, I was thinking about whether I should badge this car as a GT or not. I had the 05-09 GT badges on my 89 and loved them, but part of me is saying no cause this car is originally a LX. And yes the side skirts are going to be GT skirts so I dunno. I kinda like this badge, its different, I just wanna know how big it is........

Where the hell have you been jim?! And I'm up in the air, I like the retro look of those badges. I think having the red and blue on there may break it up a bit.
Another vote for no badges. Nice progress, its been a while since you worked on this thing right? Or maybe Im just behind.

Thanks guys, you are waaay behind Mob, lol. I've been working on this thing like crazy, Im here twice a week after work and then saturdays and sundays I'm here all day and into the night. I want this thing DONE and puttin alot of hours in is the only way I'm gonna get it done!

I always ran a ford emblem in my Cobra insert so I think im going to do that. I'm gonna do a little hot rod inspired thing in the hatch, I think alot of people aren't going to like it but I've always wanted to do it. I wont be doing as I can't do it. It probably wont happen til a while after paint but I think its gonna be cool.

congrats that is going to look great are you painting the door handles black or body color mine are going to be body color.
I am going to be painting them body color for sure. Looks alot cleaner imo. An possible the outer ring of the lock cylinder so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

Thats the next step! That and weatherstripping, I just gotta either save or get a credit card for those two cause I aint got that coin right now for that stuff!
I'm gonna be using the metal ones, they should be good for a long time!!!

good thing if you look at newer cars nowadays they're all usually painted body color.i loved when the asc mclarens painted all the trim on their cars it gave it a custom look .
