thinking of selling the Stang.

yup... falling into adulthood. i'm thinking of selling my 95GT.

i'm sure in the future i'll end up with a '05 or better but for now i need to liquidate.

its a sad day. i was planning on keeping her for years to come but its just not going to happen. :(

as soon as i figure out a price i'll be posting in the classifieds.

It's one of those things. I hated selling mine and yet I wouldn't buy it back. I just never used it and I spent alot of time and garage space keeping it nice.
Funny thing is I thought I'd get ahead alot more financially (read less debt payments) with the sale.

I refuse to grow up, hell im going to be 50 next month. Thats still young isn`t it?

I think the whole grow up/sell your hot rod idea was created by women to take away things that make you happy. I mean seriously, its amazing how many men are like "well, I gotta grow up someday" and get rid of their rides because the new girlfriend or wife is nagging them about it. Do they ever grow up and stop shopping?

I personally don't think growing up has to mean me getting rid of my cars/trucks. I pay all my bills on time and nobody goes without because of my car, or my truck, so I keep them. Yes, they are toys, but they are my toys. I wont date anyone who doesnt agree with that.

Take notes single guys!

yeah, i figure i'm going to get another Mustang in the future. right now i'm into triathlons, training and commuting on my bicycle.

i figure i'm staying young by staying physical.

redblur: i haven't settled on a price yet. i'm in no hurry to sell so i'm probably going to set above blue book and see how i do.

I did it for the betterment of my family. Something I guess you single guys have yet to experience.

Actually I have a family too. I'm not single, and as much as she'd like to get rid of my car, until there is a financial need to do so, it wont be happening. It just means an argument every couple months, no big deal. My family is well taken care of.

My wife said I shouldn't sell it. She had no problems with it staying.

that's where i'm at right now. its a great car to have and to have fun with but right now at this point in our lives its more of a nuiscance.

like i said... i'll probably pick up another Stang in the future but for now life is saying i need to concentrate on being a good husband.

Shoot, my wife asks me if we can get go fast parts for her Bimmer, there is no way she can justify telling me to get rid of the fifty! No kids now, but so long as its payed for (which mine is) it technicaly does not cost much if anything. Mine will stay for life. The only thing I will be doing is adding ponys to the stable!

A good husband? People wonder why I refuse to get married.

Thats where I am at. My other half would love to get rid of the stang, but she has no leg to stand on, its paid off, and all the parts I buy for it come out of spending money. All my bills are paid on time, the kids are spoiled and all is good. Until that changes, the stang stays.
