Car is only driven on the weekends and taken to the strip. I'm considering this combo because it is in my price range. I would like it to run in the 12's in the 1/4. I already have installed jba cat4wards, off road h-pipe, catback, built AOD with 2800 stall and manual v/b, steeda rear control arms, sub frame connectors, bfg dr's 275/50/15 and 3:73's. I would like to see atleast 290hp.

I see no problem with your goals being met with that combo. Do a search for each installation part (head installation) as there have been many posts on this.

Combo sounds good for 290-300rwhp, it'll be a little less with an auto but still will give you you're 12 second time slips. Do a search as mentioned above on the install. Now put down that mouse and pick up that phone/credit card and get those parts inbound

Not much on twisted notions.

I'd get a set of Edelbrock performer heads, Cranes cobra 1.72 rockers and an E cam. That's what we did in my dad's '89 GT with AOD and 3.73's and it runs reliable and quick. That or AFR 165's, a Crane 2030 cam and 1.60 rollers. It's very calm at idle, and pulls hard down low where the AOD need torque to move.

Should I be worried about pulling down low? My converter can stall up to 3000 rpm and my brother who works for a performance tranny shop said he can hook me up with a trans brake after the H/C/I swap. Also can I reuse my stock lifters?
