You know you dont want to sell (yet)...

You wana' hold on to it till you're like 45 and ready to retire, and then unload it for 6 figures.

Good question DD. Triple back Saleens in 1989 is your question right? ZERO! There was not an option for black seats in 89, other then the basic factory Ford seats that were black, but so very few of these cars came with that option, and it would downgrade the car rather then increase value. Black Recaro's did not become avail till '92 model yr. 165 Verts in 89 with most of them being white. Dont know right off hand how many Black/Black/Grey Verts, but I am guessing its less then 40. Although I dont really think color of interior is what will bring top dollar as most Saleens have good to great interior. Mileage and type of Saleen will be the deciding factor. For example, Jays 88 coupe with 61K is worth some serious money. Any of the Coupes, SC, SSC and convertibles will bring top dollar if they are just in "decent" condition.

We may all here on SN may think the price is too high, but there is a market that is growing for these cars, and Barrett Jackson is helping it nicely.:nice:

Oh, my-bad... I dont know why I thought you had black int. (see what happens when ya never take a guy for a ride :rlaugh: )

Your car may not be stock, but with all the mods being done right, I dont think it will hurt the value any. Heck to me, it would up the value. (but then Im weird...:D )

As for the value, with the prices some of those nut-jobs pay on BJ auctions.... 35 doesn't seem that bad. ANNND its a car that would run rings around those old vettes that sell for 3-4 times as much. (last 327 fulie I saw was like 110K, 4v was "only" like 80K)

Hopefully I'll see ya Saturday. I wanna check out your ground effects. Cant remember who said it, but they said you did a good job installing them. Your bringing the hatch right?

I agree, Barrett Jackson bidders are way out there, but I like it. Pushes the avg buyer/bidder to the sidelines, but they are setting a trend. Value vs what somebody will pay is meaning more today then ever before:flag:

That would have been me that told you about his ground effects. He did a real good job putting them on. I cant wait to see it after its all done should look pretty slick.

gonna cut down on the mileage of my Saleen. Check the price. This is the first Fox Saleen Vert that has pushed past the 30k mark. I bet it will sell in less then 30 days too.

I like where your head is at. Your Saleen is too nice to do what you've been doing to it. Plus, you can never really race it at the track if ya wanted to. Just get that other car fixed up ASAP!!! :nice:

It's already sold!!!

See you in the morning Bill. Drive careful:nice:

Lol, you got me there. :)
A stock Saleen is like my bmw...decent suspension and brakes, but no power to make use of them.

(You know I'm only messing with ya)
