I was driving a buddies 93 lx this weekend, and since my car isnt running, im not used to driving a fox. This happened twice... i went to leave an intersection, and stalled it. I tried to crank the car over, and it would crank for days, but not fire up...

The only way i got it to fire was holding the gas pedal to the floor (carb style), turning the key for about 5 seconds, and it would start huffing, i pumped the gas, and the thing fired up.

This happened twice... it shouldnt happen or be possible with an EFI car i thought, but it worked.

Anyone ever have this happen or know what could be causing it?

If the injectors are too big, it will do the same thing. The computer still has the injectors running at the same duty cycle on startup, think about it, lets just say, they run at 50% on startup, well, 50% of a 19lb/hr injector puts out far less fuel than 50% of, say a 30lb/hr, or 36lbers.

I had this same problem, and it went away when i had an SCT burned for me at the dyno, there is a duty cycle you can change at startup, i think i had mine reduced by 50% over stock, but since the injectors are larger, its putting out the same volume of fuel.

Hope this helps you understand.

I agree with this explanation. This is what I have experienced in the past. No doubt you have flooded the engine, but I am assuming this is why.

BTW, shouldnt this maybe ne in tech?

I totally forgot i posted this, i havent heard from my buddy since that weekend, as he is military and working 12 hour shifts, but im going to see him this weekend and ask him if he figured it out.. thanks for the responses!
