Throttle Body upgrades

its so simple. there is a good write up in the tech stickies. you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner. I personally use a 100a fuse and it has never popped. your alternator should not be kicking out peak amps unless there is a severe draw on it. stock electronics wont even come close.

80mm?!? I hope that's a typo, because that is some serious overkill...

Don't forget to upgrade to a bigger EGR spacer when you get a bigger TB, as well ... or see if you can bore out your stock spacer to match.

Nope, not a typo and NOT over kill! Probably the best MAF for a 5.0
ZERO idle issues and the car runs flawlessly and like a raped ape!!! I bought it from 04Sleeper who had it on his 5.0

Sorry, I thought this thread was about a TB, not a MAF - big difference. An 80mm TB would be freakin' HUGE on a 5.0.

I, for one, have never witnessed a running primate that has been the victim of a sexual assault, so that comparison means little to me...

well then sir, you have never seen fast.

I'd go with the 3g upgrade. I decided not too long ago that it was a pointless upgrade, and then last night I finally overloaded the alt. Apparenty 75 amps isn't enough to handle nitrous management, electric fan, and stereo. Headlights went out, stereo went off and I had to push start myself down the road, seriously do the 3g swap and save the stress
