Just for sh^t's and giggles I went out to my car to mess around with the gas pedal as it has been sticking right at it's rest position. So I start pushing and pulling and cleaning and greasing, and I pop the hood and finally realize that I have OVER AN INCH of slack throttle cable when the car is just sitting. So I busted out my favorite new friend the zip-tie and pulled the pin from the end of the cable, wrapped it twice around the small piece of metal just in front of the cradle for the pin, and reinserted the pin and threw the zip tie on it for insurance. I didn't expect much, but WOW, I was missing out on at least a quarter of my acceleration because I wasn't able to use all of my throttle!!! Now my biggest fear is breaking things that I wouldn't have before with only 3/4 of my acceleration available. Wish I had gotten curious about the cable earlier
