Tire recommendations for Mach 1 17x9s

Anybody have any recommendations as to tire brand and size on some Mach 1 17x9s? I've never had to buy tires for the Stang before. Plus, I just bought some new Mach 1 rims. I tried searching for info but didn't find much for 94-95 specific. Anyway, I need to know what I can run on the front without worrying about rubbing etc. What does everybody else have?

I have 275/40-17 on my 17x9 Eagle Cobra R's at all four corners with no issues. A lot of people run 245/45-17 on 17x9's. IMO, I think 245's look a little funny on 17x9's but they work fine. If you want different sizes front and back, 255/40 fronts and 275/40 rears would work great as well.

As for brands, I run Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 and they work nicely. The Hankook Ventus series are alos nice from what I've seen. Just go to tirerack.com or discounttiredirect.com and arrange the sizes you want to check out by price to find some good deals.

I second the MrGreen's advice. If you put anything wider than a 275 on a 9" rim, you are wasting your money.

I'm running 275/40-17 Eagle F1's on mine, and they do pretty good, tiny bit of rubbing on the front end in a tight turn.
