tire size on turbine rims

i just bought a set of turbine rim last night and was wondering what is the widest tire i can put on them. the guy i bought them says they will take a 275 60 15. that sounds a little wide, but if it would work that'd be nice. or would i be better of with a 245?

A guy I work with runs 255/60 in the rear and 235/60 in the front. They fit ok, but look a bit weird. I wouldnt go any bigger, especially if you still run the quad shocks. A 275/60 will fit the wheel, but I doubt it will fit on the car.

went with the 255 60's. bf goodrich t/a's. much better then the junk that came on there. they will do until i do the 5 lug conversion

Good choice, I just put a set of Radial T/A's on my 90 GT. Nice tire for the money.

Your original guess of 245 was accurate. Any larger than that and the tire is too wide for the rim. The Goodrich website will have information on the wheel to tire size recommendation.

the BFG's are much stickier then the 215's that were on there. cant wait to take it to the track and see if i cant drop it a couple 10ths of the 14.3 i ran last week
