Tire Size Question...and I Don't Mean That In A Freudian Sort Of Way...

looking for tires to grace my new Bullitts... I'd like to go with BF Goodrich, but depending on the size that may or may not be possible. Anyway...what is the largest width tire I can fit onto an 18x10 rim and what's the largest width tire that will fit my car with out rubbing or sticking out too far (2014 Mustang GT) I should also add that these will be for the rear only. Thanks in advance.

275/40-18s up to 305/35-18 for the 10inch wide rears. Up front I am assuming you have 18x9s? If so 255/45 -18s

Actually I'm going to keep the 18 x 8 size rim on the front. Tire size I decided to go with 235/45-18 front and 275/40-18 rear... Would that change and tire height from the factory height affect the computer and/or odometer?
