tires for 18x9 & 10.5??

i was told that for 10.5, 285 is minimum. 275 will fit, but look really funny.
I'm going with 265 for front, and 285 for rear. Nitto NT-555.

BTW, if you go with 28 on stock spring, it'll look really really funny. might want to keep the 17", and do suspension first

I have 295/35 Kumho MX's on the rear of my 18x10.5's. At first, I LOVED them. They looked extremely wide, they looked awesome. But now, a freak thing has happened. They look significantly thinner. I thought it was in my mind at first, but lots of other people have noticed as well. I was told the sidewall can wear out and make it look thinner, but ive had these tires for 2 weeks! I'm very p!ssed, becuase no longer do I have the aggressive, wide, stacked look. They look like my friends 17x9.5's, thin! I'm really ticked off, don't know what the heak could be wrong? Since they are like brand new, albiet the *****ty 220 tread rating, they still looked like they have shrank.

I know they are thinner, its visually noticeable from non car enthusiasts point of views. 295 was the widest tire I could afford too. I never have had this problem before. :(

I have the saleen 18x9 and 10.5's to save some serious cash I got a set of 275/35/18 for the backs and 245/40's for the front. They look good. They def. don't look too small. They are kumho ecsta 712's. But you know when they were out I will be putting 315's back there.
