Just get a 265/35. Everyone with 315's has 30's in the rear & 35/s in the front.

Dammit. I did it for you.

Good luck finding 4 tires for less than 800 bucks!

I dont think so. Look at all the Stangs in the magazines with 315's. All there cars have 30's on the rear & usually 35's in the front. Am I right? If it bothers you that much, just get 295/35 in the Back. There stiil pretty damn wide, cheaper, & easier to find. Plus your tread pattern will match front & rear. Only reason I want 315's is for looks & to say "I got 315's". 295's have more than enough grip, especially on a near stock stang. I got some pics to show u how wide 295's are. Not the sidewall, but it shows u they are still plenty wide

This is how wide 295's will look. thats my old 97 Cobra

Here is a crappy pic of the same thing on my Mach 1

Tried to upload a pic of a Mach with 315's but its taking 2 long.

Hm, I'll have to get a 265/35 instead of a 275/35. Anyone have any links for a 265/35/18?

Ok When I multiply this out....305/35/18 and 255/35/18 I'm getting a rear sidewall of 106.75 and a front sidewall of 89.25. If that is the case, I'm sold on these Nitto's.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/d...cf=false&sw=false&cs=255&pc=40148&rd=18&ar=35

and when I multiply this out...315/30/18 and 255/35/18 I'm getting a rear sidewall of 94.5 and a front sidewall of 89.25. So which pair do you guys prefer? The 305 Nitto's ^^? Or these??

Ive heard their great, but you will be spending your $800 budget on the rears alone. I didnt like my Nittos... BFG KDW2's all the way. 295/35/18 & 265/35/18. Excellent grip, dry & wet, decent tread life, & relatively affordable.

I have had mine for maybe 10k through quite a few burnouts & hard street driving and they still have about 30% of the tread left. They handle great imo. Wet traction is excellent also.

Well u wont find any 315's for cheap unless u get drag radials, & drag radials have horrible treadwear & treadlife

I wanna get 315 drag radials 2, but i dont wanna have to worry about gettin stuck in the rain. I have heard that they have no traction whatsoever in the rain. If thats not an issue to u, then I would say go for it. There really not that much more than getting 2 good high quality 295 performance tires anyway.

Not impressed by my pilot sports. They really stick when HOT, but suck otherwise. If you live somewhere thats always warm you'll be fine.

At least the sidewalls held up though. My front BFG KDWs have cracked/dry-rotted down the sidewalls on both tires even thought they have plenty of tread left.
