Let me know how it comes out. As far as what i was told you want 4* at the rear, so upon acceleration it will level out to almost zero. I was also told the trans angle didn't matter(but that was with the t-5)

i assume everything arrived as it should've in one piece and all(besides being a couple days behind)

Yep, the box showed up Monday and everything looked good!

As far as I know, the trans angle only matters in that you need to match the rear angle to it.

I made some adjustments tonight, but I was too lazy to take the ds off to check the angle correctly. I think Im still off by about 2*. I took it for a test drive and the vibration is still there but it doesn't feel as bad. I'll finish it up saturday and hopefully I can post up some positive results!

Vibration still there at 80mph...I think I may have the angle 1 or 2* off, so I'll try changing it again of these days. Just for s&g, Im gonna remove the dogbone and see if that helps.

I know this stuff's frustrating, i chased a vibration for 1 year. with the combination of mounts, no dogbone, dynamic balanced driveshaft, etc. etc. all at once it finally went away.......... I am sure you have went and have the balance and alignment of the tires checked right?

I've had the front aligned, but I havn't checked the balance of the tires. I didn't think they would be out of balance since I had no vibration at all before the TKO install....but I'm running out of ideas so I may get that checked next...

I am chasing a vibration after doing an install as well. Vibration was not there before installing the TKO 600.

Here is some more info on drivline angle and vibrations.

Operating Angle

Operating angles in a driveshaft are the angles between the pinion, driveshaft and transmission centerlines. The optimal angle for any driveshaft to run at is 0 degrees, where many vibrational and frictional problems are non-existent. In order to minimize power loss and vibration in an offset configuration, the pinion centerline and the transmission centerline need to be parallel. In general, the largest angle for racing applications should be 2 degrees and the centerlines should be parallel within 1/2 degree. If the centerlines are off too far, the u-joints travel at different speeds causing vibration (this is the same problem induced by poorly phased end yokes). This vibration is hard to distinguish from an unbalanced driveshaft.

I've been on vacation for the last week so I haven't touched the car until today. I removed the dog bone and the vibration is much better now. I don't even feel it when accellerating, but I can still feel it when I let off. I'll work on the pinion angle some more this week, but I think I can live with it like this if that doesn't help.

I really hope you finish up with getting the driveline angle adjusted correctly with the upper control arms. I think if we get two of us to fix the vibration at high speed this way, we can put the "TKO vibration problems" to rest, and people will have the answer to this that so many seem to have. Hope it works out for you,:SNSign:

I know it's been a long time since I posted in here, but I thought I would let you all know how this turned out. I recently added subframe connectors, adjustable LCA's, and new rear tires. I raised the rear end up about 1" - 1 1/2". The vibration is about 90% gone now! I'm sure raising the rear end changed the pinion angle, which is more than likely what fixed it. One of these days I'll adjust the UCA's some more to see if I can eliminate the vibration completely, but to be honest I haven't really been motivated to work on the car lately.

Thanks again to everyone that helped me out here! :SNSign:

This thread should go under permanent link for all new TKO owners. It was incredibly hard to find a remedy to this problem, until I accidentally came up on this thread.

I figured i would throw mine in here. I just installed a tremec 3550 and used the stock x-member spaced up with a 1/2" spacer so it basically is almost hitting on the transmission tunnel, im using a frpp alm. driveshaft, fixed aftermarket control arms, and i have FMS c-springs.

No vibration at all! very happy.....I'm running 3:27 gears and my car has the ability to go pretty fast and no vibrations!

Another satisfied (vibration free) TKO owner. I love it!
