Did you index the bell housing?I could not get mine on before I installed it on the engineinto the car.... Neighbor came over and both of us could not get it on.. Even used the cherry picker to hold it up ( old man idea) and could not get it.... Been a few minutes for me but I did alot of these back in the day....
I finally took off the bell housing and attached the trans to it and installed it as a bell/Trans unit .... It slid right in...... yeah, I don't get it either, but I took it as a win.......

Thanks.. I can get it any higher as it hits the tunnel... incant find anyone else documenting this issue either..Congrats!!! I didn’t find the shifter sitting lower but it definitely sits 1” further to the passenger side but that is well documented.
probably throw on a steeda tri axWell that rules out the car missing the manual trans tunnel hump. Was pretty sure I saw it in the pictures but wanted to ask. Which shifter are you using?
no , im using energy suspension motor mounts and the stiffler cross memeber with stiffler spacers for the tkx/tko transmissionAre you using drop mounts for the engine or crossmember?
Post pics of the Stifflers crossmember as it is currently bolted in. Also post a pic of the actual tranny mount and the floor above the tranny from underneath.
Thanks for this... so odd though why everyone seem to have theirs flush pretty much in every video and photo I've seen on the installation.If the tranny is nearly hitting the floor, it's good to go. There's nothing else you can do. My car is a '94 so I can't compare shifter position. The only thing that can raise the shifter position is the crossmember and mount. Yours looks correct.
