I know how the DL works: Straight cut gears that mesh in and out during corners and lock up fully while going straight, they're loud and aggressive.
I know how LSD works: clutch packs that try to deliver power on the straight to both tires but are easier on the ears in the corners, with clutches that can wear out
But the trac lok is foreign to me, does it have beveled gears and works similar to the DL or does it have clutches like the LSD?
I'm looking for something not as aggressive as the full DL (not to mention $500 vs. $400 for the trac lok) but will not have to be replaced like the LSD will eventually have to be.
