almost neighbors
well, close enough to be neighbors, what part of s.c. do you live in? i'm in whiteville, nc, 30 minutes nw of myrtle beach, s.c. so whiteville does have it's benefits-close to the beach. i have a budget saleen, it's #83B and it's a 5-speed. i was told when i first got the car by a reputable guy with a saleen cobra that a manual budget car was very rare. mine is red w/blk top, with the saleen add-ons=suspension as all others, magnesium silver rims which i sold and added 99-up chrome saleen rims, saleen plug wires, k &n, borla exhaust(basically a freaking race muffler/one chamber), you'll know if you ever decide to put an h or x pipe with no cats

, it's loud. i've got a baseline dyno before i decided to drop quite a few thousand in it.
it dynoed 213rwhp with it straight from saleen without any mods, and that explained how i was running 9.38's and in the vicinity of those #'s. i was pretty happy with the #'s, because my buddies 00 gt w/pi upgrade dynoed 223rwhp, so i wasn't far behind. now that's way in the past and it has a fully forged built 281 with a vortech-sq trim pushing 8.5lbs. of boost without an intercooler. i've got to either get an inter/aftercooler, or i'm thinking of buying the snow performance methanol kit. my inlet temps are around 232deg. and i had ed clark out of va. tune it with sct-software and he is definitely conservative when it comes to a/f ratio, which is fine with a little extra fuel. my sct will not allow more than 8 deg. of total timing because of my inlet temps. i'm very happy with it now, but ed and i think it has plenty of potential for a pi upgraded 2v. it makes as is 460rwhp. but that will change eventually.
sorry for the novel, hit me up sometime, have you been to mustangweek before or do you go? i don't ever remember over the last 5 years seeing your car, but brad bowling took pics of my car this past july and (fingers crossed), he is going to do an article(3 page) on my budget for modified mustangs. that was cool to talk with him, he wrote the saleen book, and he said after seeing all the chrome, s/c and then the manual tranny with 83B on the bumper he needed to talk to me and do some more about the car soon. i think he told me he was steve saleen's p.r. man for 12 years, so he knows his saleens.
back to your question, 1/8th of a mile, the best i ran bone stock was a 9.38@74mph with the stock BF Goodrich's. hope that helps you.
