Hey guys, So with the release of the new 2011's coming out I've been considering trading my 08 V6 for a used 05-09 GT. There's a place near me selling a Black 07 GT vert with 37K miles on it for 20K, but im not a huge fan of verts so I may wait a little longer for some more to show up.

I also wanted to ask your guys opinion. I have a BBK CAI, Pypes True Dual Exhaust and a Brenspeed 93 octane tune. I can obviously set the tune back to original, the exhaust I would just leave and trade the car in with it, but do you think i will get a hard time from the dealership for the CAI? Should I through the stock one back in? Let me know what you guys think.

I suggest taking it off and selling it mainly because you wont get your moneys from it from a dealer at all. Ebay or CL it for some extra cash.

I had a really HOT chick I was seeing from Pt Pleasant one year... Man she makes me

pull the CAI off and sell it w/the tuner. Unless the tuner will work with your next car.

Hahaha nice.

Im gunna keep the Tuner, I'll probably just send it to Brenspeed when i get the GT and have them write me another tune once i pick up a new CAI for it. If thats even possible?

I would definitely swap the OEM air box back on and if you still have the original muffler to swap that and it will make the car much more dealer trade in friendly. Keeping the tuner is a good idea and should be no big deal for Brenspeed to unlock it and put the new tune on it

A week or so ago, there was an '09 GT Premium with 12K miles listed for $19,995 in the paper at a dealer! That is a steal!

Im most likely gunna keep the duals on there mainly because I cut my bumper to fit the muffler on the driver side. If anything I might search ebay for some cheap gt take off mufflers to through on there.

That is a steal! Im hopping to find a deal like that out here once the 2011's start hitting the lots. Hopefully there will be some people trading in their 05-09 GTs

look in your local craigslist for GT take offs, you don't want to pay $50 to ship $20 worth of mufflers.

Total crap The dealership was giving me $1500 over Blue Book for my V6. Price was about where i was expecting it to be. But I am 23 yrs old with good credit but very little credit. So i needed a Co-Signer, the closest person to me that would co-sign is my grandmother but she lives out of state. So needless to say the banks the dealer works with wouldnt loan the money. Looks like ill be cruising my 6 banger a bit longer.

That sucks, sorry Malecoda... You could always get pre-approved through your bank and then try that, but I don't know if 0% was part of the previous deal or not Good luck and don't worry there will be plenty of 8s out there soon after the 2011 come out. Besides the 6er started it all way back when in '64 1/2
