i want to convert from an automatic to a 5 speed.i currently own a 91 notch back with the auto in it,how far back in years can i go to get the 5 speed?like 82-93?

Right. Halfway thru 83 the T5 came out. Before that, they were 4 speeds. But the early 5 speeds were a little weaker. I would try to find something that came from an 86 and up.

preferably a 90-93, they were rated at 300tq, instead of 265. probably no difference, but i like peace of mind
