Tuning Question

A guy I work with bought an 05GT 5 speed. He emailed back and fourth with SD Concepts about getting the Xcalibrator, but he was worried about voiding his warrantee. I told him to just reload the stock program if he needs to go back to the dealership for warrantee work. SD Concepts told him that a dealer ship will be able to tell if the computer was flashed with a different program . Is this true? Thanks.

That is true, we can tell if the calibration has been changed..

with the sct unit.. if you reflash the ecu, and have to go to the dealer to get something done.. just reflash it back to stock. the unit retains the stock setup.

But can the dealership tell the EDU has been flashed? I would think so. Even with the SCT.

Thats exactly what I want to know, if it was flashed back to stock, will they still know it was different before.

according to sct no. as long as you reflash back to stock, which the unit retains.. the factory setting that is..and cycle through it, meaning drive around for a while to allow it to relearn. if you take it back to the dealer they won't know anything was changed.

If you flash it back to stock, there's definitely no easy way to tell.
