Can I ask why you are using the GT40's? I know that they are ported but I still dont think they flow enough. Do you have any flow numbers?

I am not trying to be an ass, but you went high dollar on the block, rotating assembly, and turbo kit...why skimp out on a good set of heads?

I agree. It doesn't make much sense with the setup as a whole, but at the same time it should still make 600 to the wheels even with those heads so unless he wants more than that its not a big deal.

I've mentioned why above... They aren't the best flowing head but they'll get me around 500 HP which is what I'm looking for right now. No need for max horsepower and getting this block is in anticipation of upgrading for more power with out having to tear everything back out out to upgrade the block or internals.

I get the block tomorrow between 11 and 2. Going to take some more pics ASAP

My 331 makes damn near 500hp (at the crank) and it is NA with a stock block.

I do like that you say for the future...I just know a decent set of heads with the bottom end and turbo set up you have could easily and safely make 700 and up.

Yeah i know the capabilities of the block and what it could be, the heads r pretty much for the sake of me learning how to drive the car and to keep it streetable, as the need for more power comes then so will the heads. as well im going to need to swap the transmission but that may be a few months, so i have a back up for when i disenegrate the first one.

95cbr331 I wish I could say that.

Althought I like to say "theres no point in power if you can't control it".

I'm trying to practice some self-control right now, but once the car is together who knows

if i cant control it then whats the fun, and if ended up crashing it would be uber devastating, as i am building it up in memory of my dad, even as a shell its a big part of me. sounds corny but its all i got for a connection.
